About

Suzanne Burke joined the Civil Service in 2000, starting her career working for the Child Support Agency (CSA).

In 2001 she joined the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) carrying our various roles as Jobcentre Manager, Diversity & Communications Manager and as a Manager for The Central England Group Partnership. In 2013 Suzanne began a new role as Head of Operations for the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS). During this role Suzanne gained a Certificate in Operational Management which led to her being appointed as the National Senior Business Manager for the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) Proceeds of Crime department.

Throughout her career Suzanne has gained a CILEx Paralegal qualification, Northern Advisory Council for Further Education (NCFE) in Managing Diversity, Chartered Management Institute (CMI) in Leadership & Management and a Prince2 qualification. Suzanne took up her post as Head of Operations for the Office of the Small Business Commissioner (SBC) in September 2017 and since October 2019 she has been appointed the role of Acting Commissioner and is responsible for the organisations daily operational strategies and objectives.

In November 2018 Suzanne was appointed as a Non-Executive Director for the organisation Voice. Voice was set up by the Northamptonshire Police and Crime Commissioner to offer a free, confidential support service for victims and witnesses of crime. Suzanne has made a significant contribution to the Civil Service throughout her career and in June 2017 she was invited to the Queens Royal Garden Party for recognition of her work and efforts.
